Wally Adeyemo, the current U.S. Deputy Secretary of the Treasury, has been a key figure in shaping major economic policies since the 2008 financial crisis. With a rich background spanning public, private, and nonprofit sectors, he focuses on building a more equitable and robust economy. He is the Treasury Department’s second-in-command and COO, leading initiatives on national security, economic inequality, and pandemic-driven economic recovery.

Previously, Adeyemo held significant roles in the Obama administration, including Deputy National Security Adviser, Deputy Director of the National Economic Council, and Chief of Staff of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. His expertise extends to international finance, trade, investment, energy, and environmental issues.
