Israel Houghton, a six-time Grammy Award-winning gospel singer-songwriter, has had a transformative 20-year career with the musical collective New Breed. Known for his live performances, Houghton adapted to the global pandemic by becoming an early champion of livestream music and worship services, alongside his wife, Adrienne, co-host of The Real.
Since his first studio album in 1997, Houghton has won several awards, including the Grammy for Best Traditional Gospel Album for 2005’s “Alive in South Africa,” and Best Gospel Album for 2015’s “Covered: Alive in Asia.” His latest work, “Worship Anywhere: Live from Camp New Breed,” is a testament to Houghton’s innovative spirit and the resilience of communities worldwide during challenging times.
