ABOUT
Douglas Slaughter, senior pastor of Second Baptist Church in Aiken, S.C., has a 40-year track record of leadership in ministry and community development. He has led significant projects including the Nehemiah Project, which constructed more than 2,000 affordable homes.
He also founded a Christian school, initiated the SBC Community Development Corp., and contributed to initiatives such as Project Excel for youth employment. A lifelong learner, Slaughter holds a Master of Divinity degree and a doctorate in organizational management and leadership. He is a certified speaker with the John C. Maxwell Team.
