Calesta “Callie” Day is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. She is an educator, artist, vocalist, and vocal instructor. She is a multi-talented and gifted woman of God, with a range of vocal abilities. Her anointed style, production and spiritual perceptiveness has proved her as one of the most dynamic and compelling talents. She has traveled extensively performing across the nation, and in Europe and Central America. Recently, Callie has taken social media by storm as fans all over the United States have captured her amazing voice in videos that have instantly gone viral; especially her vocal rendition of Moses Hogan’s “Hear My Prayer” that has also taken the internet by storm and has made Calesta an internet phenomenon. Even before then, many had already seen her gifts in churches and schools where she has taught and served, especially in her local Walmart where she was featured as the “Singing Pharmacy Tech” on several commercial videos. She is also a soloist/performer with the American Spiritual Ensemble.

Mrs. Day’s freshman album “Hear My Prayer” released on April 14, 2017 is available on all digital networks. She also placed #9 and #24th on the Billboard Magazine’s Gospel and Classical music charts. Callie premiered and debuted in PLAY; the first piece created for the Paris Opera Ballet by Swedish choreographer Alexander Ekman December 2017 at the Palais Garnier Opera House. On August 6, 2019, Callie was a contestant on America’s Got Talent Season 14 where she made it all the way to the judge cuts with celebrity guest judge, Jay Leno. Mrs. Day received an Associate of Arts degree from Sinclair Community College in Vocal Performance, Bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University (Oh) in Vocal Performance, the Master’s degree in Education with a Music Concentration from the University of Dayton. Callie is also currently a candidate for the Master of Fine Arts (Miami University, Oh) and Doctor of Music degrees (University of Kentucky) in Voice Performance. Her doctoral project is “Exploring the Role of African American Opera Singers in The Establishment of The Spiritual as A Musical Art Form From 1900 To 1920”. Since the pandemic outbreak of Covid-19, Calesta recently is giving private vocal lessons via online. She also released a music video project titled “In Trouble” written by composer/writers; Ms. Monica Hodnett and Ms. Theresa Metzger.
